NEWBORN PHOTO SESSIONS

The first year of our babies’ lives goes by so fast and their development is the most wonderful thing to behold. Help cherish those moments and memories forever with beautiful photos which encapsulate their first year from their tiny newborn feet to their first candle on their birthday cake. For newborn photos, we advise that babies are between 0-14 days old as they are usually very sleepy at this age and their tummies are still small enough to comfortably put them into tight curled up poses. Do not worry about their cracked skin or spots, I can correct all this if you wish. Through my own experience though, I know that sometimes babies and mums are just not ready for photos so early on, and we are happy to take photos at any age, so don't feel you have missed out. Please note, the safety and comfort of your babies and children during our sessions is very important to us and therefore we cannot guarantee that certain poses you may have seen in our previous work can be achieved with your child, but I am positive we will capture some beautiful photos of you newborn regardless, while maintaining safety and comfort at all times.

As a mother myself, Newborns never cease to amaze me. How do they actually fit inside a tummy?! I feel very privileged that parent’s trust me with their gorgeous newborn delights. Every Newborn baby I take photos of is special and I remember their names and sometimes the month they were born off by heart, although as the amount of Newborns I photograph increases, it is getting a little harder. I am also very lucky to see the Newborns grow and develop as their parent’s bring them back for Milestone photos and photos of them when they become the older sibling. With recent changes in the world, it has brought new influences to my work and I am now happy to offer two styles of Newborn Photography.

In studio Newborn Session -posed individual and family images with the use of wraps, blankets and props. Taken within the studio under flash lighting and get all the details.

In home Lifestyle Sessions - documenting your baby surrounded by their home comforts and loved ones, with use of subtle natural lighting to evoke a more rustic portraits. Our Moving Moments Lifestyle Videography can also be added to this package to create even more irresistible memories, including short clip video footage set to music with voice over and photos incorporated.

I can retouch all images working alongside your brief, keeping them as natural as possible, or I can smooth dry and flakey skin, correct jaundice, and remove any blemishes.

I usually recommend that babies should be between 5-14 days old to get the tiny newborn photos when you can mould them into shapes safely while they are fast asleep, after 14 days you might find they start to wriggle a bit, stay awake longer and their perfect skin starts to dry out or get a few milk spots - however, I always try to fit clients in whenever they want photos as I know births and babies can be so unpredictable, so please don’t feel you have missed out, let us know when YOU and the BABY are ready, your health and wellbeing of is the most important thing. Once that is in order, let us know, we would love to welcome your little one into the world in style!

How do i book?

If possible, please book before the baby arrives so we can add you to our calendar, at sometimes of the year we can get very busy and prior knowledge would help us to plan. However we will still book you in if you have already had the baby.

So, just get in touch. There is nothing to pay until the day. You can also spread the cost of your session over the space of a few months, so book today. We will book you in online with a ‘To Be Advised’ date, until we know the actual date of your session. You will have access to your own private online portal with access to all your important photo session information including a special style guide and questionnaire on how we can make your session extra special. If you need to cancel or reschedule your session, there is nothing to pay, please just let us know as soon as possible.
